Uttarakhand for inclusion of Gadwali, Kumauni in 8th schedule

The Uttarakhand Cabinet on tuesday decided to recommend to the Union government inclusion of Gadwali and Kumauni languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
A proposal in this regard was approved at a meeting of the state Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister B C Khanduri, Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar said.
It would now be forwarded to the Centre for necessary action, he said.
The Cabinet decided to set up old-age homes in every district of the state, the Chief Secretary said
It also decided to frame rules envisaging punishment to children abandoning their elderly parents, Kumar said.

all the politicians should sincerely think about the languages of uttranchal to be preserved... and give te respect these languages deserve
