The second phase of the odd-even scheme of the Delhi government draws to an end on April 30. With majority of Delhi residents having given a thumbs up to the first phase of the scheme that took place in January this year, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal decided to run it a second time.
Though the scheme aimed to reduce the alarming levels of pollution in the city, it was more appreciated for reducing traffic congestion on Delhi roads. Last time, the AAP government had claimed a drop of 25 percent in pollution levels during phase 1 of the scheme. It is now to be seen how second phase has fared.
