RECTPCL hands over SPV to Power Grid Corp

Transmission project involves development of 3 sub-stations, 4 transmission lines and 2 sub-stations

REC Transmission Projects Company Ltd (RECTPCL), a subsidiary of Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (REC), has handed over project specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) namely ERSS XXI Transmission Ltd to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL).

Competing alongside with the private players in the sector, PGCIL quoted the lowest levellised tariff. Transmission project involves establishment of three sub-stations, four transmission lines and two sub-station extension works in eastern region.

The selection was carried out based on the standard bidding documents and guidelines notified by ministry of power, union government for selection of transmission developers on build, own, operate & maintain (BOOM) basis through tariff based competitive bidding route.
