SCOPE calls for faster project examination

The public sector has got the capital investment of Rs 2.47 lakh crore in the union budget 2014-15

SCOPE director general UD Choubey stressed on a multipronged approach towards achieving project excellence in public sector enterprises.

In view of the huge capital investment of Rs 2.47 lakh crore provided to the sector in the union budget 2014-15, Choubey said there is dearth of sufficient number of trained qualified project managers in the country and priority should be given on capacity building of the managers.

Choubey was addressing a workshop on project management, jointly organised by SCOPE and Project Management Associates (PMA), in Delhi on Wednesday.
