The Congress on Tuesday lashed out at L k advani for calling Manmohan Singh a "weak prime minister", saying that teh aging opposition leader did not have any issues to talk about.

"Advani is like a stuck gramophone record. He keeps parroting the same thing. During 2009 elections, he had levelled personal attacks at the prime minister but was served his just desserts when we swept the polls," Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said  here at a press meet.

Tiwari, however, was critical of the BJP saying that it was not expected from a national party's leadership to make such comments.

Turning the attack on the opposition party, the Congress leader said, " We have always addressed the issues whether it is corruption or anything else. But look at the BJP. Whenever we raise issues, its leaders remain silent. Look at the Yeddyurappa regime in Karnataka. The party is doing nothing to check the corruption in his regime."
