The central bureau of investigation is likely to file a chargesheet against Kamlesh Singh, the tainted former cabinet minister of Jharkhand, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case. The investigating agency found Rs 6 crore which Kamlesh Singh fails to account for. Singh was a cabinet minister when Madhu Koda was the chief minister of Jharkhand. He has also been named in many cases of irregularities that happened during Koda's term.

According to the CBI sources, the investigating agency is also likely to tighten the noose around former Mumbai congress chief Kripashankar Singh in another DA case. Kripashankar Singh’s son is married to Kamlesh Singh’s daughter.

Ironically, CBI raided Kripashankar's son's house in Gurgaon. According to sources, the probe agency recovered Rs 1 crore from the residence of the children of these tainted leaders. They were unable to explain where they got the cash from.
