National solar mission will soon step out of the shade, with the guidelines for the same being scheduled for a June-end release, according to Deepak Gupta, secretary at the ministry of new and renewable energy.

Speaking at a press conference organised by the Ansal group, Gupta offered some clarity on the issue of technology, saying that the mission will use a healthy mix of indigenous and foreign technology.

Stressing on the need to combine superior technology with prudent economics, Gupta said, "We are looking at sourcing the best technology for solar power generation to come to India to reduce the costs."
