In a bid to woo investors from Karnataka, the Information Technology department of Andhra Pradesh, will undertake a roadshow in Bengaluru to showcase the State as an investment destination.

According to K Ratna Prabha, principal secretary, IT&C, AP, the roadshow would be organised on February 4 and Ponnala Lakshmaih, AP Minister for IT will also participate.

Apart from the officials of Andhra Pradesh, senior officials of Karnataka will also attend the roadshow of 'Advantage AP 2011 ? The Most Preferred IT Destination', Ratna Prabha said.

The objective of 'Advantage AP 2011' is to provide a forum for IT & ITES companies, academic institutions, governments, end-customers of various Industries, to collaborate and leverage the enabling environment that AP has with focus on promotion of small and medium enterprises by providing an international platform for their growth and promotion of tier-II/III locations in the state to spread the benefits of IT to the nook and corner of the state, the official said.

Advantage AP-2011 will be organized by the IT&C department of AP in association with the IT & ITES Industry Association of AP (ITsAP) and Software Technology Parks of India from March 1-2 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Prabhu added.
