BridgeCo, a pioneer and world leader in digital audio and media networking technologies, has decided to make India its global hub, with over 90 per cent of its operations in the city.

BridgeCo is a semiconductor firm that provides the processor and software solution for connecting consumer electronic products to the internet. It also designs and develops chips and software for the world's most popular products at their base here, the company said in a statement.

"Even though BridgeCo started originally in Zurich, Switzerland and has its corporate headquarters in US, our technology development, operational centre and global customer support is now 100 per cent in India," BridgeCo Inc CEO Gene Sheridan said in the statement.

"Unlike other companies, which use talent in India mainly for backoffice jobs, we are giving our engineers an opportunity to conceptualise, design and develop products which revolutionise Consumer Electronics products.

JukeBlox, the product which has redefined the way the world accesses and enjoys music, has been conceptualised, designed and developed at BridgeCo's Bangalore centre," he said.

A team of over 70 engineers at BridgeCo's Bangalore office design and develop chips & software and cater to over 100 consumer electronic clients across the globe.

BridgeCo is currently partnered with the world's leading music service providers such as Pandora and Rhapsody and top consumer electronics manufacturers such as Denon and Sony. PTI BH BN
