BSNL appoints A K Garg as human resource director

Chief General Manager at Kolkata to be new HR director

State-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced appointment of A K Garg on the post of Director (Human Resource).

The post was lying vacant after retirement of Gopal Das on February 28. Das retired as chairman and managing director of the organisation and was simultaneously holding the charge of Director(HR) as well.

Prior to joining as Director (H R), Garg served as the Chief General Manager at Kolkata Telephone. He joined the Department of Telecom?s ?Group A? services in 1977.

"After a good old journey of more than three decades in the telecom industry, I am privileged and humbled to take this responsible position and wish to nurture and create great human capital for BSNL," Garg said in a statement.
