Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said the Chief Minister's grievances redressal cell has disposed of 12,850 out of a total of 13,870 cases. Describing it as a notable achievement, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's Advisor Mubarak Gul said the cases were related to both individual and community problems.

To broad base and strengthen the public grievances mechanism in Jammu and Kashmir, the CM's GR cell has introduced innovative monitoring and follow up system to ensure greater public satisfaction. Some of those whose grievances had recently been redressed have been personally contacted to find out if they were satisfied with the steps taken to address their concerns, Gul said.

Gul said the mechanism is a successful interactive portal which enables people to express their problems through various modes, including the internet, saving their precious time.
