Dassault Systems plans to double revenue from India in 4 yrs

Global 3D and product life cycle management (PLM) solutions provider Dassault Systems is planning to double its India revenue in another 3-4 years.

Global 3D and product life cycle management (PLM) solutions provider Dassault Systems today said it is planning to double its India revenue in another 3-4 years.

"We have set up our first corporate office in India three years ago, during which we have more than doubled our strength. We are planning to more than double our revenue from the country in the next 3-4 years," Dassault Systems President South Asia, Andy Kalambi told PTI here.

The global revenue of Dassault Systems in 2010 stood at USD 2.23 billion, of which Asia contributed 25 per cent.

Within Asia, India represents the third largest market after Japan and China and is the fastest growing territory with 50 per cent on year-on-year growth, he said.

The company follows the January-December financial year.

The company, which offers solutions in 11 verticals globally, has five offices in India with presence in 10 verticals and is looking to foray into space like financial services, banking, telecom and e-governance, he said.

"We have acquired Enginuity PLM, the US-based company, that will help us in looking for new vertical in India, especially in the e-governance segment," he said.

The French company offers software solutions to companies and helps them to manage the complete life cycle of a product virtually powered by 3D in 11 verticals like -- aerospace, architecture and construction, automotive, consumer goods, consumer packaged goods, high-tech, industrial equipment, life sciences, power process and petroleum, shipbuilding and services. .
