Government invites application for TCIL's Chairman, MD post

The last date for the submission of application for the post and the last date of receipt of applications is June 27.

The government invites applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-run Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL).

The last date for the submission of application for the post and the last date of receipt of applications is June 27, a government body, Public Enterprises Selection Board, said in an advertisement.

"The Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters," the advertisement said.

Further, the appointment shall be for a period of five years or upto the date of superannuation whichever is earlier.

TCIL provides technology in all fields of telecommunications and information technology and to provide an array of consultancy and turnkey project implementation services in the field of telecommunications, information technology and multimedia, postal consultancy, e-governance and architectural and civil engineering.

The authorised and paid capital of the company stood at Rs 60 crore and Rs 43.20 crore respectively as on March 31, 2011.
