Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today inaugurated the newly-expanded facility and a world-class Flight Operation Centre of US-based technology company Honeywell International here.

"The first phase of the facility has been constructed at a cost of Rs 100 crore and employs 600 people. After if is fully commissioned by the year-end it will have more than 1,000 employees," an official release said here.

The second phase of the Honeywell campus, for which foundation stone has been laid, is proposed to be constructed in a phased manner, it said.

The Flight Operations Centre of Honeywell, launched by the Chief Minister, will monitor the flight passage directions and operations using latest information technology applications, the release said.

Honeywell, a corporate arm of Honey International, directly employs more than 10,000 people in India and has its operations in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Madurai.
