Huawei unveils 10-year growth plan; reaffirms India commitment

Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei unveiled a 10-year growth strategy on Wednesday, putting in place a "Cloud-Pipe-Device" plan to provide integrated solutions to operators, enterprises and consumers.

Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei unveiled a 10-year growth strategy on Wednesday, putting in place a "Cloud-Pipe-Device" plan to provide integrated solutions to operators, enterprises and consumers.

It also reaffirmed commitment to the Indian market.

"The next 10 years will be a crucial period as the needs of users shift from basic communications to comprehensive demands for information. The disappearing line between IT and CT (communication technology) presents both opportunities and challenges for us," said Richard Yu, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei in a statement.

The company is holding its analyst summit in Shanghai.

Huawei has developed cloud computing solutions and constructed a strategy to provide integrated end-to-end ICT solution that focuses on the three components of cloud computing, network, and device.

It has also introduced a new organisational structure centred around these three key drivers of growth.

Meanwhile, Huawei India CEO Yangkaijun said, "The Indian telecom industry has already witnessed tremendous growth and in the next decade it is poised for significant achievements.

"Huawei reaffirms its commitment to India by providing the latest cutting-edge technology to Indian partners in 2G, 3G, Enterprise, Terminals and in the LTE domain."
