The Khadi and Village Industries Commission has invited bids for development and design of the website for the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

The PMEGP provides a credit subsidy for setting up micro units that help generate employment opportunities in rural and urban areas. This scheme is being implemented by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

"The request for proposal is for selection of implementing agency for designing, development, testing, managing and maintenance of the web portal for the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme of KVIC," the commission said.

The last date for submission of bids is May 11, it said.

"The objective of this engagement is to provide seamless information across the organisation for easier decision making," it said.

KVIC, a statutory body established under an Act of Parliament, markets khadi and related products through a string of stores known as Khadi Gram Udyog.
