LCD display system at High Courts in Maharashtra soon

The LCD screens would display all the information about court cases which will benefit lawyers, litigants at the courts

The High Court administration in Maharashtra would soon install electronic case display system at the high court in Mumbai and the benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad.

The LCD screens would display all the information about court cases which will benefit lawyers, litigants and also employees working at the courts, sources said here.

Such screens have already been installed at the principal bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court at Jabalpur and also in the high court in Karnataka.

"The display screens would become a reality by February- end. We have already invited tenders and the process would be completed soon, sources said.

The High Court Bar Association(HCBA) had also filed a writ petition through its secretary Abhay Sambre demanding installation of ultra-modern LCD display screens.

HCBA counsel Sudhir Puranik said that they saw the modern display system during a visit to MP High Court in Jabalpur.

Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, in a RTI query filed by city-based lawyer Kishor Ghuguskar, confirmed that LCD screens would be installed soon stating that the work was in final stages.
