LifeSize to focus more on healthcare, education sector

Company working with Reliance Industries, Virgin Mobiles and Mahindra Satyam in India

The high definition video communications company LifeSize, today said it is betting big on Healthcare and education sector in the Indian market.

"The key focus area for our company to expand and growth in India are education sector and healthcare. Asia-Pacific (APAC) region contributes 17 to 20 per cent in our overall revenues and India is the third largest market for us," LifeSize Vice President - Asia Pacific Simon Claringbold said.

LifeSize currently has a research and development center at Bangalore with around 100 employees.

"We are partnering with many of the Indian companies which are using our products. And going forward I think telemedicine and education centers and institutes will be our key focus area," Claringbold said.

In India the company is working with Reliance Industries, Virgin Mobiles and Mahindra Satyam.

However, the company did not disclose the overall investment in the Indian market.

On the fresh hiring in India, Claringbold said," The company will hire more manpower as and when it is needed."

LifeSize, a division of Logitech, develops and deliver high definition video communications products. The company is located in Austin, TX with regional offices throughout Europe and Asia Pacific, and a network of channel partners reaching more than 80 countries.
