Maharashtra Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat on Wednesday announced a single window system for getting various certificates as a part of the e-governance initiative.

"As a part of e-governance, the department has initiated a project 'Suvarna Jayanti Rajaswa Abhiyan' from May 1 to give the citizens services quickly without a long process," Thorat told reporters.

The Revenue Department is directly related to the people in providing caste, domicile certificates and land titles. The scheme includes 11 citizen friendly initiatives that the department will take to improve the delivery mechanism and transparency processes, Thorat said.

The application forms required to fill the certificates would be made available online to avoid long queues outside the Collector or tehsil office, he said.

The department would start a 24 hour help line to give information to people and register complaints, he said
