MCD signs pact with Tech Mahindra for e-governance project

Project to integrate 40 departments of MCD

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi today signed an agreement with Tech Mahindra that will help the civic body realise its ambition of achieving paperless administration and to make processes citizen-centric and faster.

As part of Delhi's e-governance project, the civic body, which has engaged Wipro Consulting Services, has roped in Tech Mahindra as its implementation partner.

The agreement was signed by R K Shrivastava, Additional Commissioner, MCD and Prem Chand, Senior Vice President, Tech Mahindra here and will help achieve reduction of turnaround time for citizen-centric processes, faster, better and more effective, a statement said.

The company will undertake development of new and integration of all existing software applications along with implementation of hardware in MCD for seamless information flow and providing citizen services online, it said.

The e-governance project will result in transparency, accountability, single-point information including online applications, approvals, certification for citizens across 40 departments of the civic body.
