HRD Ministry launched a new page on the Ministry's official website today providing a host of information relating to opportunities in the education sector.
The new page in the website will give information about the opportunities available in India for faculty positions.
It also provides for registration by interested persons, thus enabling creation of a data bank of NRIs /PIOs so as to utilise their talent and expertise in the creation of a knowledge society, said a statement issued by the Ministry.
The webpage was launched by HRD Minister Kapil Sibal.
The focus of this year's PBD is on Education and Health.
Sibal also released a booklet 'Gyandeep-Building a knowledge Society' and a special edition of the HRD Ministry news letter.
The booklet aims at giving an overview of the various proposals initiated by the Ministry for bringing in reforms in the Higher Education sector.
It also mentions some of the existing programmes and schemes of UGC, AICTE, ICSSR etc as well as the Department of Science and Technology for enhancing faculty resources and utilizing the expertise of eminent academicians for research which can of interest to NRIs/PIOs, the statement said.
