Samsung launches 12 digital cameras

New range ofl cameras priced between Rs 5,990 and Rs 16,990.

Consumer durables' major Samsung on Tuesday launched a lineup of 12 digital cameras in India, priced between Rs 5,990 and Rs 16,990.

"Embracing the ideas of Smart Design and Smart Experiences, Samsung India today unveiled a lineup of 12 digital cameras that lets consumers easily capture and share images on the spot," the company said in a statement.

With the addition of these new models, Samsung's digital still cameras portfolio now has a lineup of 19 products priced between Rs 5,990 and Rs 44,990.

"Based on innovative new launches as well as our innovative marketing programmes for digital still cameras, we are looking to notch up a 20 per cent market share in the digital still camera market this year," Samsung India Deputy Managing Director R Zutshi said.

He, however, did not mention the current size of the Indian digital still camera market.
