Satyam joins GENIVI alliance

IT firm Mahindra Satyam joins automotive and consumer electronics industry association, GENIVI Alliance, which develops in-vehicle reference platform.

IT firm Mahindra Satyam today said it has joined automotive and consumer electronics industry association, GENIVI Alliance, which develops in-vehicle reference platform.

This will support vehicle infotainment applications such as music, news and multimedia, navigation and location services, telephony, internet services and more, Mahindra Satyam said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Mahindra Satyam will enhance the quality of the infotainment solutions, focus on accelerating innovation and deliver a compelling value proposition to its customers, the filing added.

"Mahindra Satyam will be a welcome addition to GENIVI and will help our mission of delivering an open platform for the non-competitive of in-vehicle infotainment software," GENIVI President Graham Smethurst said.

GENIVI is a non-profit industry alliance committed to driving the broad adoption of an In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform.

Shares of Mahindra Satyam were trading at Rs 72.85 on the BSE, down 1.49 per cent from the previous close.
