Stating that BPOs in Dehra Dun has the potential to grow to Rs 1,000 crore creating 50,000 jobs, Spanco BPO Services today sought better infrastructure, transport and security system in the city for overall growth of the outsourcing industry.

"Our estimate suggests that BPOs can create 50,000 jobs and grow to Rs 1000 crore in short time provided we have good security, transport and infrastructure in the city," Spanco BPO Chief Executive Officer Pravin Kumar told reporters here.

He said the company started its operations in Dehra Dun four months ago with 300 people and now the strength has grown to 1,500.

In this regard, Kumar said he has discussed the issues of security and transportation with the District Magistrate of Dehra Dun also.
