Springboard Ventures launches biz plan advisory portal-Mybplan

To tap growing potential of start-ups

PTI | February 16, 2011

To tap growth potential in the evolving start-up eco-system in India, Springboard Ventures today launched the country's first business plan advisory, development and training service portal 'Mybplan'.

The initiative is in collaboration with four other start-up supporters -- Nurture Talent, SME Joinup, Saarthi Consulting and Kennis Group.

"Mybplan.com will help provide start-ups end-to-end solutions right from ideation to fund-raising through an IPO.

The idea behind the initiative is to guide these early-stage entrepreneurs in overcoming certain gaps between what they communicate through their business plans and what information the angel investors or other funders seek," Springboard Ventures' Managing Director, Satish Kataria, told reporters here.

Through 'Mybplan', Springboard and its collaborators have brought together some of the best start-up investment experts and also a host of unique services to assist entrepreneurs right at the stage of idea-inception, Kataria said.

"The platform will not only address issues faced by start-ups while raising money from angel investors but also help them take a holistic and long-term view of their idea and its growth potential," he added. .

While the venture capital and private equity sector is growing rapidly in the country with high management fees and a large corpus, a mere 1 per cent of investments are actually structured to support start-ups because of lack of communication and presentation skills.

Through Mybplan, early-stage entrepreneurs can get in detail the nuances of business plan-making, evaluation of ideas, attaining domain knowledge, training and finally, contests.

These services can be received as per requirement of the entrepreneur and cost him anything between a mere Rs 1,000 to Rs 30,000 for different modules, Kataria said.
