Three-day seminar on cyber forensics in Kozhikode

Clinical justice education organization to organize the event

A three-day national seminar on Legal and Regulatory mechanism on Information Technology and Cyber Forensics will be held here from February 18 to 20.

India is currently an undisputed leader in trade of services in information technology, but to retain its number one status, it requires evolving a national consensus on legal and regulatory mechanism governing information technology, C Thilakanandan, Co-Ordinator of the Programme, said.

Legal and Regulatory mechanism governing cyber space and information technology has been a hot topic in recent years, he told reporters here.

There was also an increasing need for use of cyber forensic methods in crime detection and prevention, he said.

The event, organised by Clinical Justice Education Organisation (CLIJEO) of Government Law college, Kozhikode will have participants from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, Punjab and Maharasthra.
