Antivirus software provider Trend Micro today said it aims to capture 10 per cent share of the country's consumer software security solution market by next year.

The company, which has less than five per cent share of the USD 20 million Indian consumer security solutions market, aims to sell 80,000 licences by December next year.

"Though our market share is low, we are strengthening our distribution and introducing strong products and hope to garner a share of 10 per cent by next year end," Trend Micro Country Manager India and SAARC Amit Nath told reporters here.

The company today launched its new version of security software 'Titanium 2011' in the Indian market, priced at Rs 1,200 (single user) and Rs 1,800 (three users).

"We will focus on the tier II and III towns. Next year, we should easily sell about 80,000 licences in the Indian consumer segment," he said.

Nath said the company estimates the size of the Indian security software market to be about USD 15-20 million, growing at about 20 per cent per annum.
