The medicos, under the banner of Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJDA), were on a strike since April 21 in support of their demands, including re-deployment of Special Protection Force (SPF) at Government hospitals.

They were protesting since April 21 against the withdrawal of SPF and boycotted emergency services since last two days disrupting medical services at the Government hospitals and teaching hospitals.

A nine-member delegation of TJDA held talks with Principal Secretary (Health and Medical) P V Ramesh and Director of Medical Education (DME) T Ravira, TJDA President Ravi told media persons after the meeting.

The Government has agreed to deploy SPF at Niloufer Children Hospital here from tomorrow morning, Ravi claimed.

The Government has also constituted a committee to look into problems of other government hospitals. The panel would submit its report by May 16, he said.

Ramesh told reporters that the police department has been requested to deploy personnel from tomorrow itself at the Niloufer Hospital here.

Medicos have agreed to call off the strike and work with the Government in improving the quality of services provided in the state-run health facilities, he said.
