Chhattishgarh govt gives out Rs 667 cr in loans to farmers
State has targeted short-terms loans for farmers grossing Rs 1,200 cr

The Chhattisgarh government has distributed a loan of Rs 667 crore to more than 400 farmers in the current Kharif season, official sources said today.
In the current Kharif season, loan of around Rs 667 crore has been made available for farmers for farming purposes, they said.
Through the state's 1,333 primary agricultural credit cooperatives, farmers are taking loan in the form of cash alongwith fertiliser and seeds which they are buying at three per cent annual interest rate, they said.
The state government has targeted 1,200 crore rupees as short-term loan for farmers in the current Kharif season, sources said.
The state's 3,85,511 farmers have received more than Rs 666 crore as loan from the government, sources added.
