GN Bureau | August 7, 2013

Despite repeated reminders from the department of personnel and training, (DoPT), more than 200 officers of the central secretariat service have not filed immovable property returns (IPR) for the last financial year.

The defaulting officers include under secretaries, deputy secretaries and directors.

"The IPR for the year 2012 in respect of several CSS officers has not yet been received by this department. Ministries/department concerned are once again requested to obtain the IPRs from the defaulting officers and forward the same to this department immediately,” said a circular sent to all the ministries departments on August 1.

The DoPT has warned that the officers who fail to submit the IPR will be denied vigilance clearance for empanelment, deputation and training programmes.

This is the fourth reminder sent to the defaulting officers. Earlier the same circular was sent in January, May and July.

According the central secretariat service rules all the group A officers have to submit the details of their immovable property every year.
