ADMK during winter session of parliament would maintain neutrality but on price rise and on Kudankulam issues will oppose the stance of UPA2. But DMK on its part as an ally of UPA2 shall get alongwith the Congress approaches.

Tamil nadu's two major political parties have to position themselves before winter session.

ADMK general secretary Jayalalitha convened a meeting of ADMK MPs prior to winter session of parliament on Monday in Chennai to discuss political approach of the party and give instructions.

However, this is a customary perception is that  ADMK will be closer to BJP line of political process. Jaya's speech at NDC criticising centre and deputation of Thambidurai to greet LK Advani on his completing Yatra, all are indicators of ADMK's possible strategies for winter session.

But DMK on its part has not yet indicated the meeting of its MPs to take stock of political situation.

After the demise of Murasoli Maran as leader of DMK parliamentary party, there has been no regular meetings of the MPs of DMK either in Delhi or in Chennai. Moreover, DMK MPs do not want to speak to Karunanidhi on various political complex issues, as Karunanidhi gets annoyed on the MPs for not getting Kanimozhi out of jail. T R Baalu as Leader of the DMK parliamentary Party is not convening the meeting of the Parliamentary party- said a senior DMK MP.
