Extra vigil along railway tracks in Gondia district
Officials wary of sabotage during the Maoists' Martyrs Week observation

The city police and the railway protection force (RPF) personnel are maintaining extra vigil over the up and down tracks between dense forest in Salekasa and Darekasa section during the Martyrs Week observed by the Maoists, official sources said today.
During the 'Martyrs Week' observed by the Maoists in Gondia district and elsewhere, the Maoists may create some problem and hence police in sufficient number have been deployed, sources added.
Railway security commissioner of Nagpur division of SECR, K K Sharma said, "We have deployed our men and a platoon of SRPF have also been in place in the area."
"We do not have specific inputs and but not take risks and our staff is patrolling and extending all co-operation to Railways," Gondia district S P Mohammad Suvez told PTI.
Some local newspapers have today reported that Naxals have threatened to blow up the track to which Suvez pleaded ignorance. "There is no confirmation of any such threat," he added.
