Set to begin their 5-day long visit of Jammu region from July 8, interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir will be holding a two-day round table conference (RTC) in Jammu on July 11 and 12.

"We are holding two-days meeting with the cultural activists of all the parts in Jammu on July 11 and 12," Head of a 3-member panel of Interlocutors Daleep Padgaonkar told PTI today.

Padgaonkar, who along with two other members, Radha Kumar and M M Ansari are currently on a visit to Kashmir valley said, "The cultural activists will come together in order to promote greater understanding of the cultures of various regions".

Interlocutors had already held an RTC in Srinagar last month and is to hold RTC in Jammu and later in Ladakh.

We will also be visiting few places in order to meet local representatives of political parties, civil society and also with newly elected sarpanch this time, Padgaonkar said.

Interlocutors' panel which met J&K Governor N N Vhora yesterday will begin his visit of Jammu region on July 8 from Ramban district.

Later, they are scheduled to visit Reasi district on July 9 and later will fly to Kathua on the same day and stay for night there to carry on meetings next morning with local political leadership, civil society and sarpanch.
