Patel Chowk, C Sec metro stations to close on Saturday, Sunday

On October 14 also, same restrictions will be there on these stations.

The Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat Metro stations will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday due to road events of Commonwealth Games taking place in the heart of the national capital.

Certain entry gates of Rajiv Chowk Metro station will also remain closed on these days. On October 14 also, same restrictions will be there on these three stations.

Trains will not stop at Patel Chowk Metro station during the restrictions which will be between 5AM to 10AM on Saturday, 6AM to 6PM on Sunday and 5AM to 11AM on October 14.

"The Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat Metro stations will remain closed as advised by the Delhi Police during the below mentioned timings on October 9, 10 and 14.

"At Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, only 'A' and 'B' Block entry/exit gates, that is, Metro Station Gate No. 1, 2, 7 and 8 will remain open for the public on these days to facilitate the organisation of various Games events," an official said.

Metro train services will remain normal despite these restrictions. Commuters planning to use the Central Secretariat and Patel Chowk metro stations can use Udyog Bhawan metro station on HUDA City Centre?Jahangirpuri corridor, the official said.
