Provide proper compensation to Gobindpura farmers: Amrinder
Asks Indiabulls to compensate farmers in accordance with the latest land acquisition policy

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh on Monday asked a private company to properly compensate farmers before setting up its 1,320 MW power plant in Gobindpura.
Singh asked Indiabulls to compensate the farmers in accordance with the latest land acquisition policy approved by the union cabinet.
Addressing a press conference in Gobindpura, the Congress leader claimed that farmers were being forcibly evicted from their land.
He condemned the recent police lathicharge on farmers who were resisting to forcible land acquisition.
The former chief minister, however, made it clear that neither he nor his party was against the project, but were against the way land was being forcibly taken away from farmers.
