Stamps with photographs for passengers at Chennai Airport

Air passengers can get 12 stamps by paying Rs 322

Passengers flying through Chennai’s domestic airport can now get their own postal stamp with photographs. By just paying Rs 322, a person can get 12 stamps of Rs 5 each. All one needs to do is to fill up a required form at the counter with an ID proof and one recent passport size photograph.  The twelve photos will be sent by the postal department to the given address within the 10 days.

The service has been started at the Indian post office, recently inaugurated at Chennai’s domestic departure of the airport.

The other facilities available at the counter would be internet browsing at the charge of Rs 25 for 30 minutes; Fax domestic at Rs 20 per page and international Rs 50/ per page; postal ID Card at Rs 270/ per application and postal life insurance from 18 years upto 55 years.

While inaugurating the Indian Post office counter at the airport, H S Suresh, airport director appreciated the prompt action of Indian postal department in setting up the counter with full facilities.
