Will start drafting report from Sept 15: Srikrishna Comm

The five-member Justice (Retd) B N Srikrishna Committee, appointed by the Centre to look into the Telangana statehood issue, will start drafting its report from September 15.

"We shall complete our consultation process by September 15 and then begin writing the report so that it can be submitted to the government by the December 31 deadline," Committee chairman justice Srikrishna said in Mahbubnagar today.

Accompanied by the Committee member-secretary V K Duggal and member Abu Saleh Sharif, the retired judge interacted with political leaders, people and various local groups.

The Committee visited Ketireddipalli village in the district and interacted with people to elicit their views on the separate statehood demand.

The Committee members toured Ranga Reddy and Medak districts in the Telangana region yesterday and interacted with public representatives and people.
