Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda on Thursday said the state was moving towards "e-democracy", which would enable taking the perception of people while making important decisions.

Noting that dissemination of information as the top most strength of a democratic system, Munda said the state assembly has introduced on-line monitoring system enabling information to the people.

"Now the state will move towards e-democracy in the near future," an official release said quoting Munda as saying on the 12th Foundation Day of Jharkhand Assembly in Ranchi.

Elaborating on e-democracy, Munda said this would help putting the "stamp of approval of the people" on the matters debated in the House and the subsequent decisions made would have the touch of peoples perception.

Opining that knowledge could stop the society from being influenced by viewpoints of others, Munda suggested that the House should take a clear policy on developmental models that could help develop panchayats, districts and state simultaneously.

He also stress that all developmental models should suit Jharkhand.
