Goa minister's daughter files complaint against fake FB account

PWD Minister Churchill Alemao's daughter has registered a complaint with police stating that a UK-based Goan has been defaming her through the social networking website Facebook.

Goa PWD Minister Churchill Alemao's daughter has registered a complaint with police stating that a UK-based Goan has been defaming her through the social networking website Facebook.

In a complaint lodged at Colva police station, Valanka alleged said that Ray Dias has created a fake facebook account in her name and was abusing it.

Obscene and lewd e-mails are posted on the facebook page, she alleged.

A senior police officer stated that they are investigating the complaint.

The accused is apparently residing in the locality of Swindon, in South West UK, police said, adding that they have registered a case under section 66(A)(c) 66 (D) of the Information Technology Act.

Alemao has been projecting Valanka as the next Congress candidate from Benaulim Assembly constituency.
