Youth urged to develop proficiency, skill

District Judge and Member Secretary of Puducherry Legal Services Authority R Uthirapathy today urged youth to develop skill and proficiency in whatever career they associated themselves with.

Felicitating a batch of young boys and girls enrolled for training in a BPO sponsored by Pondicherry MultiPurpose Social Service Society,he said language was never a barrier for youth to come up in life. All that was needed was 'proficiency, commitment and good accent'. He said employees joining an organisation should not shift from one organisation to other as that would not help their carreers and the companies.

The training was held in association with NASSCOM Foundation and Accenture.

Purushothaman, NASSCOM Regional Director, who inaugurated the training centre said India was recognised as the best destination in the IT Sector and referred to NASSCOM's services covering a larger number of boys and girls in Tamilnadu and Puducherry in placements.

As many as three lakh youth had been trained and extended employment through training by NASSCOM in the two States, he said.
