Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary, Sameer Sharma gets extension for 6 months

A 1985 batch, senior IAS officer, Sharma was due for retirement on November 2021 which has been extended by May 2022, as per the official release.

 An official release by the Government of India recently extended the tenure by six months for Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh, Sameer Sharma from December 1, 2021. A 1985 batch, senior IAS officer, Sharma was due for retirement on November 2021 which has been extended by May 2022, as per the official release.

 

The order issued by the Central Government has been in accordance to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s request to center to extend Sharma’s tenure by six months.

 

In earlier instance, the state government had also extended the tenure for Chief Secretaries, Nilam Sawhney and Aditya Nath Das who have served under Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after May 2019.
