Empowering Women, Protecting the Planet: The Launch of Femagiene
Did you know that traditional sanitary napkins can take up to 800 years to decompose? These products significantly contribute to environmental pollution, releasing microplastics and other harmful substances into water bodies and landfills. With rising concerns about their environmental impact, the need for sustainable alternatives has never been greater.

On December 6, 2024, echoing the Government of India’s vision of “Rising India, Rising Rajasthan,” social entrepreneur Tanuja Bhatnagar achieved a remarkable milestone by inaugurating SS Ecotouch Private Limited at Tonk Distt. Rajasthan. The event, conducted with traditional Vedic rituals, symbolized a step forward in addressing various challenges of menstrual hygiene, environmental sustainability & Employability.

Introducing Femagiene: Redefining Menstrual Hygiene
Under the leadership of Mrs. Bhatnagar, SS Ecotouch Pvt. Ltd. launched Femagiene, a brand committed to producing nature friendly herbal sanitary napkins. These eco-friendly products prioritize both women’s health and environmental safety, embodying a holistic approach to sustainability.

Femagiene products leverage the innovative NAARI herbal sanitary napkin technology, developed by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) in collaboration with the Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CIMAP). This advanced technology, transferred to SS Ecotouch Pvt. Ltd. through the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) under the Ministry of Science & Technology, ensures that Femagiene’s products are not only support ecological environment but also skin-safe and effective for users.

“Our aim is to empower women by providing access to eco-friendly hygiene products while protecting the planet. Femagieneis more than a brand—it’s a commitment to sustainability, care & women employment,” said Mrs. Bhatnagar at the launch.
