Aadhaar-linked listing of LPG consumers in Hyderabad

LPG consumers classified into two groups

LPG consumers have been categorised into Cash Transfer Compliance (CTC) customers (those who have complied with Aadhaar norms), and non-CTC consumers in Hyderabad. According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, only 30 percent customers are Aadhaar compliant in the districts identified for the direct benefit transfer for LPG.

The report said that the non-CTC customers will get a grace period of three months, till August 2013, to enrol in Aadhaar and provide their UID details to the oil companies. The non-CTC customers will get the subsidy till August after which it will be discontinued, said the report.
