Andhra Pradesh could be in for a brief president Rule as the Kiran Kumar Reddy government faces an internal crisis with 25-30 MLAs planning to join Jagan Reddy. The Kiran Reddy camp is planing to take 20 MLAs to Bangalore for averting a crisis, insiders say. Imposing the president's rule will help the ruling Congress avoid embarrassment of its own MLAs from the state not voting for its presidential candidate.

Political manipulations are now on in Hyderabad. The arrival of home minister P Chidambaram in Hyderabad to attend a marriage reception also fuels speculation. There is a possibility of governor ESL Narasimhan presenting a report on the political crisis in the state not only to the home minister in person, but also in a report to the centre.

On three accounts the state is expected to be in for a brief spell of president rule. The possible scenario is assessed by political circles in New Delhi and also in Hyderabad:
1) 18 assemblies results would be out on Friday
2)  Possibility of MLAs desertion from Congress in a huge way
3) State Government comes to minority
4) State Governor will have to call for a floor test
5) If Kiran Reddy Government is toppled by Jagan Reddy camp
6) And add fuel to the fire, the Congress MLAs and MPs are not to vote for official nominee of Congress in July presidential polls- voting pattern
from Congress will go in for a tilt.

The union cabinet which is meeting on Thursday is likely to have an informal discussions on political crisis in Andhra Pradesh, as Chidambaram will
be briefing Dr Manmohan Singh on Andhra Pradesh.

Political observers in New Delhi feel that Andhra Pradesh is in deep political crisis.
