Charges were on Monday framed by a local court against Maoist Politburo member Narayan Sanyal for looting arms from a home guard camp here.
Giridih District and Sessions Court judge A K Singh framed the charges in Sanyal's presence.
193 weapons were looted from the camp under Nagar police station in 2005.
Sanyal, who was arrested by the Chhatisgarh Police a few years ago, was brought by Giridih police last year and has since been in Giridih jail.
Sanyal had earlier been granted bail by the Supreme Court.
Sanyal, along with Binayak Sen, was convicted for sedition and sentenced to life imprisonment. Binayak Sen has already been granted bail.
