The BJP, ADMK and DMK members of select committee on Lokpal are furious that Rajya Sabha secretariat did not inform them about its first meeting on Monday.

Chairman of select committee on Lokpal Satyabrata Chaturvedi did not inform many members of the opposition parties about the scheduled meeting.

The AIADMK, BJP, DMK and Trinamool have planned to complain to the chairman of Rajya Sabha for the unilateral decision of chairman to announce the meeting schedule first in the media. The Rajya Sabha secretariat also failed to inform the MPs.

V Maitreyan, a member of this committee said that Congress MP Chaturvedi should have asked the secretariat first to ascertain availability of the MP.  They even did not send an SMS or email alert.

DMK MP Trichy Siva and V Maitreyan of ADMK have lodged a protest with Chatruvedi on Monday morning asked him not to conduct the select committee meeting.
