BJP had been demanding PM's resignation over irregularities in coal block allocations; union minister Jairam Ramesh hits back

Union minister for rural development and Rajya Sabha member from the Congress, Jairam Ramesh, hit out at BJP after the opposition party demanded that the prime minister resign over irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks. The prime minister held the coal portfolio when some of these allocations were made. BJP had repeatedly disrupted the upper and lower houses of parliament this monsoon session over the demand.
