Likely to discuss drought situation in Andhra Pradesh

GN Bureau | July 3, 2012

Vijayalakshmi, the mother of Jagan Reddy will meet prime minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday to discuss drought situation in Andhra Pradesh and will also assure support to Pranab Mukherjee.

The PMO confirmed that Vijayalakshmi sought appointment.

Meanwhile, Vijayalakshmi sought appointments with Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdulla and even senior BJP leaders. She is expected to stay in Delhi till Friday.

Buzz in Delhi political circles is that the meeting between Vijayalakshmi and the PM is purely on political issues and nothing to do with the narco test threat on Jagan Reddy by the CBI.
