GN Bureau | November 12, 2012

Prime minister Manmohan Singh is upset with his union ministers over getting into unnecessary media controversies.

A senior official of the PMO on Sunday called up two union ministers V Narayanawamy and Jayanti Natarajan to convey the displeasure of Manmohan Singh for creating a bad image of the government.

PMO is upset with V Narayanaswami for his remarks on CAG and later Narayanaswamy denied having commented so. Though Narayanaswamy is minister of state in PMO, this is not the first time he denied his own words.

On Saturday, PMO was upset with Jayanti Natarajan. For negative reports about the constituion of National Investment Board- especially about the timing and leakage of the letter even before the letter reached the PMO.

In Surajkund Jayanti Natarajan spoke at length about NIB and she picked up issues with the  senior miniters during Samvad baithak. Some of her observations again got into print. Hence, the PMO was upset.
