When Syed Zafar Mehmood, who worked as officer on special duty with the Sachar committee on the socio-economic conditions of Muslims, made a PowerPoint presentation at a conclave in Gandhinagar on Saturday, it made news, because the audience included Gujarat chief minister Naredra Modi. Reports say that he patiently listened to Mehmood's presentation (attached below) which asks BJP to be sensitive to the community even as it chalks out several grievences the minorities have with the UPA government, especially for ignoring key recommendations of the Sachar panel.
